You will find Casa Sobremesa in the Costa Blanca region of Spain, midway between Valencia and Alicante airports - a place to unwind. A place to chill with friends, sipping a cold glass of local wine.
Famous Mediterranean Climate
The weather is the main attraction - this unique micro-climate offers warm weather all year round. Outside living with comfortable weather swings and seasons ranging from hot summer nights in the pool, to chilly winter evenings, perfect for getting those sweaters out.
By English standards, Monte Pego is sometimes described as hot all year round, but when winter rolls in and you wonāt be sunbathing at the beach for Christmas. Winter daytime temperatures hover around 14Ā°C dipping into single digits on the coldest nights.
August is the hottest month in Montepego with an average temperature of 29Ā°C (84Ā°F) and the coldest is January at 11Ā°C (52Ā°F). The sunniest month is July with 11 daily sunshine hours. The best month to swim in the sea is in August when the average sea temperature is 25Ā°C (77Ā°F).
Where is Monte Pego?
You will find us nestled high in the lovely mountain community of Monte Pego midway between Valencia and Alicante airports. We always suggest flying in, rent a car and follow your GPS for an hour to find us.
HINT: Drive 45 minutes up the motorway, then turn off and cruise through the orange groves, vineyards or even divert down one of the ancient roman roads to enjoy the Mediterranean scenery. Visiting Casa Sobremesa is as much about the journey just as much as reaching your destination.
Explore the Area
Spainās Mediterranean Costa Blanca coast is a beautiful place to wind away the days. But, since you have a rental car, why not go exploring?
Spend a couple of days lounging on nearby beaches, gorge on local Paella's and cruise along the coast in search of local vine yards.
Start each day's new road trip with a glass of fresh orange juice from the famous Valencian Oranges every morning.

Casa Sobremesa is nestled at the top of the MontePego mountainside community, just minutes from the beach, this is a perfect location for exploring Spain. In the center of the Costa Blanca, you will find many wonderful Valencian adventures in the surrounding area. With glorious views of the surrounding Pego Valley, watch sunsets over the Mediterranean Sea and contemplate visiting any of the hundreds of restaurants, bars and historical landmarks you can see.
We live here all year round - and our guest house, La Casita Sobremesa is on the ground floor.
Come join us for a mimosa for breakfast, or a glass of local wine while enjoying the sunset -- we are not alcoholics honest ;)
